This section gives an overview of what Data Protection is and why it is needed. With the introduction of GDPR, many organisations are wondering how they will be affected after the UK leaves the European Union. Module 4 - GDPR Responsibilities

The greatly increased accountability of data processors under the GDPR means that the controller/processor contract becomes even more important to the processor.

What is appropriate is assessed in terms of a variety of factors including the sensitivity of the data, the risks to individuals associated with any security breach, the costs of implementation and the nature of the processing.
